The T20Sim World League is a global T20 cricket competition where teams representing leading cricket nations battle across two divisions in weekly matches, season-long rivalries, and a race for the playoffs.

Every match matters. Division 1 teams compete for the World League Championship, while Division 2 teams fight for promotion to the top division.

Division 1 — Round 1 Review

Season 1 of the T20Sim World League is underway, with Division 1 completing its opening round. 5 matches kicked off the new campaign, with the first points of the season up for grabs.

Round 1 saw Australia Sting, India Ignite, Sri Lanka Pulse, South Africa Surge and New Zealand Snap all secure important victories. The closest contest of the round came between India Ignite and Bangladesh Charge, with India Ignite edging the contest by 1 wicket. One of the round's most commanding chases came from Australia Sting, who defeated Afghanistan Flash by 3 wickets. Those results set the early tone in Division 1 as the race for a place in the top four began.

The standout batting performance came from Arjun Mehta of Sri Lanka Pulse, who struck 111 from 57 balls at a strike rate of 194.7. With the ball, Liam Fairchild of New Zealand Snap delivered the standout bowling performance, taking 7 for 24 from 4 overs at an economy rate of 6.00. The biggest team total of the round came from South Africa Surge, who piled on 242 for 4 from 20 overs.

After the opening round, New Zealand Snap sit at the top of the Division 1 table with 4 points and a net run rate of 3.115. With eight league rounds still to play, the battle for the four semifinal positions is only beginning.
