The T20Sim World League is a global T20 cricket competition where teams representing leading cricket nations battle across two divisions in weekly matches, season-long rivalries, and a race for the playoffs.

Every match matters. Division 1 teams compete for the World League Championship, while Division 2 teams fight for promotion to the top division.

Division 2 — Round 1 Review

Season 1 of the T20Sim World League is underway, with Division 2 completing its opening round. 5 matches kicked off the new campaign, with the first points of the season up for grabs.

Round 1 saw Oman Fury, Ireland Spark, Nepal Nova, Scotland Force and Namibia Smash all secure important victories. The closest contest of the round came between Ireland Spark and Canada Crush, with Ireland Spark edging the contest by 3 wickets. One of the round's most commanding chases came from Nepal Nova, who defeated Netherlands Zap by 4 wickets. Those results set the early tone in Division 2 as the race for a place in the top four began.

The standout batting performance came from Ayaan Qureshi of Oman Fury, who struck 161 from 62 balls at a strike rate of 259.7. With the ball, Kenji Watanabe of Oman Fury delivered the standout bowling performance, taking 5 for 32 from 4 overs at an economy rate of 8.00. The biggest team total of the round came from Oman Fury, who piled on 252 for 5 from 20 overs.

After the opening round, Namibia Smash sit at the top of the Division 2 table with 4 points and a net run rate of 1.547. With eight league rounds still to play, the battle for the four semifinal positions is only beginning.
